PROCESS + PARTNERS

Belén Perez Garcia has won awards for her fine palm weaving.

She visits the local hillsides near her home in Oaxaca, Mexico to harvest palm fans. The palm dries in different tones, ranging from blonde to silvery green, which Belén strips into fine ribbons before she weaves them into tall narrow cones.
