Japanese Ikebana (flower arrangement) basket with handle. Remarkable weave technique transitions from delicate single diagonal open grid to more substantial quadruple weave. Woven by hand in Japan from caramel colored bamboo, and featuring an interior cylinder. Excellent vintage condition. Circa 1950.
