Mud Pendant Light

A small and sculptural black ceramic pendant light made by members of a women's organization for traditional pottery and art in northern Ghana. Each light is formed by hand from clay gathered from a local river bed and fired in a pit kiln. This is a pottery tradition passed down through generations of women. Each shade is made in a conical shape, and each is slightly different.

Assembled and wired in the US with adjustable 4’ cloth cord in twisted vanilla and brass fittings. LED bulbs only.
