WOVEN SPACES | Made by Inch Showroom Installation

WOVEN SPACES | Made by Inch Showroom Installation

We had the privilege of designing an installation for Made by Inch's Hermosa Beach showroom last fall, and now we’re delighted to share this recent photoshoot by Carly Hildebrant, which was styled by Kerri of Made by Inch, with creative direction by Maddy Pease.

Made by Inch specializes in custom sofas and sectionals crafted in California. When they asked us to design an installation for their beautiful showroom, we saw an opportunity to create something that honored both their values and their seaside location.

Concept

Our installation at Made by Inch was designed to draw people in from the street. The front window features layered net-like textile panels in front of a suspended marine-inspired woven sculpture. As natural light shifts throughout the day, the shadows cast by the textile move across the window and floor, creating visual depth that makes people pause.

Inside, we worked with Made by Inch to style the showroom with sculptural basketry and handcrafted lighting positioned to complement Made by Inch's furniture vignettes. The pieces soften corners, warm the light, and add layers of texture.

Material Conversations

Our installation design practice is rooted in the same philosophy that guides our collection: deep respect for craft, material integrity, and human hands. If this approach resonates with how you think about your own spaces, please reach out.

And if you're in Hermosa Beach, stop by Made by Inch to see the installation in person.
