WHY DO WE HAVE SECONDS?

We partner with SWOPA, a women's organization in northern Ghana that offers craft skills training to young women in their community. We purchase pieces made by trainees to support two missions: giving these women marketable skills and preserving traditional craft knowledge across generations.

Some 'seconds' become our most beloved designs. Our peaked fawn shade began as one of these beautiful accidents.

We're opening up our studio in East LA to let you shop the pieces that didn't make the cut. Slightly irregular shapes, weave variations, or experimental forms - these beautiful pieces are perfectly imperfect, and they're priced to move.
