Japanese Ikebana (flower arrangement) basket in the Hyotan shape. “Hyotan” (Japanese gourds) have been considered symbols of good luck in Japan since ancient times. Woven by hand in Japan from stained bamboo, and features a small metal hook for hanging. Very good vintage condition. Circa 1960.
